Losing weight and getting healthy doesn’t happen overnight.  You didn’t gain weight and fall out of shape overnight, did you?  Of course not.
 
So here’s the deal: 10 weeks to get Healthy.  For most of us, that means losing weight, but it’s more than that. Blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol levels and BMI (Body Mass Index) are included, as is emotional health. There are plenty of skinny fat people out there who are thin because they starve themselves and live on cigarettes and coffee.  Or heroin.  You get it, right? You want to get Healthy! If a byproduct of this is weight loss, consider it a bonus; it is not the goal.
 
What will these 10 weeks look like?  I’ll be your Coach and will guide you through your journey, cheering you on as you go.  We can meet in person, or through email.  Here’s an outline for you:
 
  1. Why do you want to get Healthy?  Let’s take some measurements (even if that’s scary), and set some goals.  I’ll ask you what kinds of food and exercise you like and don’t like.  You will set up a free account on Fat Secret (www.fatsecret.com) so that you can record your food & exercise daily; we will become “Buddies” on the site so that I can assess and help you make the best decisions- every day.
  2. It’s been a week- do you have a support system in place?  Get one.  Have you faced any obstacles over the past seven days?  I’ll recommend some reading for you, both books and websites to check out.  These can help you with the support and knowledge you want and need.
  3. Are you eating right?  Your diet counts for most of your health.  Now that I know what you like to eat and what your eating habits are, I will create a meal plan for you for one week, AND a shopping list. 
  4. You gotta get moving!  Like your eating, I’ve had enough time to assess your exercise habits.  This is when I’ll create a monthly workout calendar for you.  Consider it an appointment calendar.
  5. We don’t live in bubbles and eat all of our meals at home.  Eating out can be scary- I’ll help make it a little less so.
  6. To maintain your health, and since eating at home is the least expensive and most healthy way to go, I’ll share recipes, tips and tricks with you. 
  7. Are you staying on track?  Let’s work on either keeping you there or getting you back on if you’ve slipped at all.
  8. Time constraints and stress are often sited as reasons why people can’t stay or get Healthy.  I’ll help you manage both your time and stress levels and get you over any plateaus they may have caused.
  9. It’s been two months.  The newness of the program has maybe worn off and you’re having trouble staying motivated.  We’ll find ways to celebrate your success and to keep you in the game.
  10. You’ve done it!  Now what?  I’ll give you a plan for staying Healthy, every day, for the rest of your life.
 
Every week we’ll check your progress, review your Fat Secret data, and reinforce or reassess goals.

The sessions can be conducted through email support.  However, if you are local to Cheshire, CT, a food & exercise journal and a complimentary YoLarates class are included in the $100.00 fee.

For $50.00, you can receive the food and exercise journal, a meal plan and workout calendar and helpful handouts.  No Coaching service is included in this fee.
