When Lara Foldvari created YoLarates™ ten years ago, she relied on her classical ballet training, her certification in group fitness instruction, and certificates in sport yoga and Pilates mat to teach a safe and effective barre class. She didn’t have the luxury of taking barre classes locally- there wasn’t one within 50 miles of town- so she got inspiration from home workout DVDs. The closest barre teacher certification training was in NYC and would have cost thousands of dollars and a few weeks away from home.
That was ten years ago. It’s a far different story today where there are a plethora of online and live trainings and workshops to choose from.
